Summer time fun!
It has been nice two days in a row....do I dare say summer is here....better not! We have a dinner club every month that we do with about 7 other couples. We pick a theme and all bring something for a potluck. This month's was on Quadra Island. It is a 10 minute ferry ride away, which Carter LOVED. He has a slight obsession with the ferry, so to be able to go on it was a big treat for him. This month there were 10 adults and 10 kids! We have all had our second child so dinner club has grown quite a bit since we started it! It is so great seeing all the kids play together. Kinley even has little baby friends to play with. I usually forget the camera, but I remembered it this time and I am so glad I did.
Today the sun was out in full force so we packed up and headed to the lake!! I love it out there. It is so so so much fun. We headed out with another family and the kids really enjoyed it. Carter loves to throw rocks in the water and that was the first thing he did. Kinley has a slight fear of getting dirty...which isn't very conducive to beach life! She seems to have gotten over it and even ate some sand at the lake today. She went right for the water and stayed there most of the time we were there.
We headed back after lunch for the kids to have a nap. While they were napping Jaice set up their pool, so when they woke up we went back outside. Snack by the pool...my kind of afternoon! I am going to post video's in this post and the next one I will post pictures. We have a few.... :)

Family pictures
I haven't posted in a while!! We have been busy. My parents were just here. We had such a great visit with them! Jaice and I got out lots and even made a trip to Victoria!
While my parents were here we got some family pictures done. I love every one of them! There are 183....so I will only post some of them!
Kinley now says, MOM (she yells it at me), dada, hi, boo. Pat-a-cake is her favourite song and she will take your hands and clap them together when she wants you to sing it for her! She will also clap for herself when she thinks she has done something exciting! She is crawling all over the place and getting more sturdy on her knees when she is pulling herself up on things. She will stand for about 5 seconds on her own when you stand her up, but she doesn't like to! She loves her doll and gives it kisses all the time. She still only has 2 teeth. The only food she doesn't seem to like is mashed potatoes. I am sure she will come around, she is a Granson after all :)
Carter is growing again...YIKES!! I was looking up where he is on the charts for kids his age and his height wasn't even on the chart. He has out grown the charts!! I signed him up for preschool in the fall. I am excited to see how he likes it. He is just going 2 mornings a week for a couple of hours. One of the mornings is on Jaice's day off so Daddy will get to see him in school as well! He will also be in the same class as one of his little friends. His little friend is busy like Carter (not as busy, but busy) so it will be interesting to see how it goes. I am sure they will have lots of fun.
Gran and Grampy will be here in a few short weeks! We are excited to see them! I think Carter is loving all the company and extra attention he gets! Thats one of the best things about having Grandparents visit, the kids have so much fun!
I just realized Carter turns 3 in just over a month!!!!! Time is going way too fast! I have already started planning everything out for his party! Hopefully it all comes together nicely. I am attempting a race car cake....so we will see!
