Jumping into the pool

Here is a video of Carter jumping into the pool during one of his swimming lessons. He sure does love the water. Enjoy

It has been too long

I haven't blogged in what seems like forever! We have been busy. Carter is learning so much right now. He is talking more and more daily. He is really trying to communicate with us. Everyday new words are popping up in his vocabulary. Nana and Grandpa were just here for a visit. Carter sure loved having them around. He can say nana clear as a bell and grandpa is now grampy. It is finally looking like spring around here. We try and get outside as often as we can. Carter loves to be outside. Sometimes he gets mad when we go out and get in the car instead of going for a walk. He finished his swimming lessons and passed with flying colours......the only problem is he can't move onto the next section until he is 3! We are taking a month and a bit off and then going back into the same lessons again. He loves to be in the water and it is fun for him so we will keep it up for a while. The pool is closed during the summer so we want to get in as often as we can for now. They have an outdoor pool in the summer, but I think we will be spending lots of time at the lake and the beach this summer. So much more room to run! Carter still loves trucks and all that goes them! The look on his face is priceless when we see a 'dumpy' (dump truck) or a 'buit' (bucket truck). He is still as busy as ever but has a new found interest in puzzles. He doesn't like to do them one at a time, we have to have them all out together. He will take all the pieces out and then put them all back together. It can be a process but he loves it. He does great with them. He mostly has puzzles with the pictures on the board so they are easier to find, but he has figured out his ones with no pictures. We are going to look for some new ones this weekend. We are also on the hunt for some fun backyard toys. Now that we see the sun from time to time we like to get out more. Buckets, shovels and 1 riding toy aren't cutting it anymore. Nana and Grampy bought him a lawn mower so Carter and daddy can get out and mow the lawn (hint hint). He still eats like a champ. I am a little fearful for my future! He will have no problem keeping up to his uncles and daddy! The new little one is doing well. We had our ultrasound last week and there is only 1 in there!!! Whew! The doctor said everything is looking great. Carter got to hear the heart beat. He seemed pretty interested and then wanted the doctor to listen to the baby in his tummy, priceless.

Mexico Fun

We are back from mexico and our tans are fading already. We had so much fun. Carter is such a great traveller. We got stuck in Edmonton for an extra 4 hours on the way there. We were so thankful for the play area! Carter had so much fun climbing and going down the slides. The weather was beautiful every day we were there. Carter loved running up and down the beach. We went to the pool a few times as well. He had so much fun. We went to see Sookie sing twice and Carter was her biggest fan!! (Watch the videos) He would blow her kisses from his highchair! He doesn't do that to anyone unless he is asked! He would watch her dance and then try it out himself! Jaice found a Saskatchewan Roughriders poncho! We laughed pretty hard and he bought it. Carter enjoyed seeing Nana and Grandpa. He also enjoyed his visit with Jack and Linda! It was such a great family vacation.
We are back to rain....which i am not complaining about. We left with snow on the ground, so I will take the rain. We took Carter in for his 18 month shots today. He is 29 lbs (I think their scale is off) and just over 3 feet tall. He was a trooper and made the nurse feel sorry for him! He got a sticker out of it!
We hope everyone is doing great and we miss you all.

A little late....sorry!

I am a little late posting all our Christmas fun! We had such a great visit with Gran, Grandpa, Uncle Cale, and Uncle Drew. It was so nice to be surrounded by family at Christmas. We have been pretty busy since Christmas and we are on our way to Mexico this weekend. I figured I should get to posting before I get too behind!
We hope everyone had a great Christmas and a very happy new year! We will update when we get back from Mexico!

Snowy snowy snowy

Well we got our second snowfall of the season today. We decided to get out in it right away before the rain came and took it all away again! Carter LOVED it! We tried to build a snowman....but Ewalk peed on it :) Carter was more interested in running and falling in the snow. After supper we decided to try and go sledding! Carter couldn't get enough of his sled. Jaice had bought it the last time it snowed but we never got to use it. We didn't get any pictures of Carter sledding as it was dark and raining by the time we got out. We got really wet and had to trick Carter to get back in the car. He would have stayed out all night if we would have let him! The faster Jaice went the more fun Carter had. Our little dare devil!
3 more sleeps until Gran, Grandpa, Uncle Cale, and Uncle Drew get here. We are very excited!! Carter is getting more interested in the presents under the tree. He likes to reorganized how I have put them under the tree.
We hope everyone is having a great holiday season so far! We will update after Christmas!

Santa Claus is coming to town

We made it downtown for the Santa parade on Sunday. It was much warmer during the day. In Jaice's words "Carter is a candy goldmine!!" We were are the very start of the parade so Carter did get a lot of candy. Jaice is enjoying most of it. Carter also got a Rudolph stuffy and he really likes it. We stopped in for another haircut before we went to see Santa. No more hair in his eyes! Carter was totally fine with Santa as long as he didn't have to sit on his lap. He would give him a high five but didn't want to sit. I went up with him and Carter sat on the arm of Santa's chair and then he was fine.
We also put the Christmas tree up on Sunday. Carter helped lots. All the ornaments that he put on are all in the same spot. He did a great job!
Enjoy the pictures

Trucks & Lights & Santa OH MY

Tonight they had a big kick off to the Christmas season. They had a big truck parade and Santa came. Turns out Carter isn't a big fan of honking trucks! He did like to walk around them and touch all their tires. We got him up on one and we was excited that he was finally allowed to play with the 'big trucks'. He also got to see Santa. He wasn't all that interested in him. I think it might be a mommy, daddy, and Carter Santa picture this year. There was also great live music going on. Carter was the hit of the show, dancing all over the place.
If you ask Carter what Santa says he will say 'ho ho ho'. We finally got a video of it. He has also been working really hard at all his animal sounds, so we go that on video as well!
There is another parade on Sunday, so we will have more pictures then!
Enjoy
