You are my sunshine.....Finally!

The sun finally decided to make its appearance!  We quickly got to the park.  Kinley had yet to be on the swings so we couldn't wait to get to get to the park.  We got a video of her on the swing.....turns out the squealing swing is really creepy and annoying.  So you get pictures instead :)  I actually got some good shots of Carter and even got his face and not just the back of his head!  We had lots of fun.  I am glad we got out as it is back to raining and storming again.
We will be decorating Easter eggs this weekend and I will make sure to get pictures of the kids.

Been a little busy

Things have been a little busy around here so I haven't posted in a little while!  I have started another blog (just preschool things) and I started up an online shop selling tutu's and some other homemade things.  It is a lot of fun so far, but it makes for very busy days.  Carter has been pretty crazy in the picture department, so I don't have any recent ones of him.  Kinley has been my model for most things lately.  I think she is starting to dislike seeing the camera now!  We have been out for lots of walks lately as the sun has been out in the morning.  Hopefully spring will officially show up soon :)  I will try and post some more pictures of the kids this weekend.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day!  We hope everyone is having a great day and they are wearing some green.  I had to dig around to find something green!  Jaice and Carter had no problem.  I had made Kinley an adorable outfit and I couldn't wait to put it on her! I decided why not do a mini photo shoot with the kids!?  Well it turns out I am not, nor do I want to be, a professional photographer!  I did get some cute shots out of the ordeal.  I did get more of Kinley than Carter, but she moves less.
I am already thinking of her Easter outfit.....oh the possibilities :)  Is it a bad thing that I already have Kinley's first birthday dress all figured out?! I just need to wait until a little closer to August before I make it as I will need a more accurate size for her :)

Boys playing

I got a video of the boys playing today.  SO CUTE!!  They had been playing the pirate game for about 10 minutes before I thought about getting the camera out, so this is them winding down.  I love that they get to play together.  They are becoming quite the pair!  Kinley intently watches them.  It won't be long until she is in there full force!

Giggles

Talk about warming our hearts.  Kinley has had a long few weeks and listening to her giggle is an amazing thing!  We thought we would share her smiley self with you.  It is so nice to see her getting back to herself!

I'm a big boy now.....well almost :)

Our house is on day 2 of lock down.  I decided since I don't want to take Kinley out of the house, now would be the perfect time to potty train Carter!  We are not leaving the house until Carter is potty trained.  Diapers are only allowed on for bedtime and the occasional nap!  Day 1 was only accidents.  That's ok, just a starting point.  Day 2:  Carter peed 11 times in the potty!!!!  He had 6 accidents (1 poopy one).  I know, I am asking myself the same thing......is his bladder really small or has he finally figured out that when he pee's on the potty he gets a new car?!  He was in the same underwear from noon until bed time (minus his nap).  He was wet after his nap but I think that was my fault.  I think he was up a little before I noticed and peed before I got to him.  I am so excited that he has figured out how to actually pee while on the potty!  I know we still have a bit of work to do, but we are very excited around here!  I let Carter decide what he wanted for supper, pizza! (It was his second choice, I had to convince him that we had cereal for breakfast, so maybe we could have something else for supper!)  The next thing we really need to work on is him noticing when he has to go.  He is getting really good about going when I put him on, but won't tell me when/if he has to go.  Something I need to work on, figuring out a different reward system!  He got 6 new cars today...... I think tomorrow I will do a sticker system.  Once he pees 5 times on the potty he can get a car.  I will let you know how it goes :)

The video I got of him today is priceless.  It started off as a video of him playing with his new cars, but then he spotted the camera (hence the cheese face) so I turned it into a tell everyone about our exciting adventures in potty training.  This was mid-afternoon so he peed 6 more times after this!

Hopefully tomorrow is just as exciting with a few less accidents!
