New trick

Well Carter finally figured out how to roll over! I have no idea why we practiced it! Nap time has turned into play time! Now that he can roll over and sit up he plays in his crib instead of napping! If he wasn't so cute I would be mad! :)
I got a video of him doing it on the floor. On the plus side, when he is on his back, I don't need to pick him up any more!
Hopefully we will get an afternoon nap in sometime today!

Peek-a-boo, I see you!

Carter is moving more and more! He is so long, so he usually doesn't have to move very far to get what he wants! He has started chasing Ewok. Lucky for Ewok he usually gets distracted by something else on his way. Toby is still a little sketchy around Carter. With Toby's short hair, Carter usually gets a handful of skin.....not Toby's favourite! Today Carter started pulling himself up on the coffee table. So far he only gets up on to his knees. He can take his time with walking, I am definitely not ready for that yet! We haven't had many really nice days lately, so no park. We have been out walking everyday. We are going to decorate Easter Eggs next weekend. I am not too sure how to go about it, but we will figure something out. We all may end up messy, but that is ok!

Big boy bath

Carter is 8 months now! He has been sitting up in the bath tub for a little while now, but I finally got around to taking pictures. He loves to splash and try and grab the water. He is saying 'da da' more and more. He is even starting to look at Jaice and say it. He has also started giving a goofy grin when I bring out the camera! It is really cute. I am going to weigh him next week and see what he is up to. He feels heavier, but that could be just me!
His teeth are really bugging him so he has been getting up lots and has been really cuddly! He seems to be much happier today. He has been giving me his goofy grin and playing shy with the dogs.

Working hard to crawl!

It has been a while since I have posted! We have been really busy! Carter is doing more and more everyday. He is getting bigger and more mobile! He is trying so hard to crawl and so far has managed to go backwards. He is working really hard at trying to get back up on his hands and knees from his tummy and is starting to accomplish that goal more and more. We are still waiting for his top teeth to FINALLY break through. One has just broken through the skin but only a little corner. We hope that they come sooner rather then later as it would be nice to give Carter a break. We have been spending any nice days outside. He loves the park and tries to eat the odd pinecone and some grass! A little ruffage never hurt anyone! Carter is getting so strong. When we are at the pool he likes hang on to the edge and for the most part hangs on all by himself. Yesterday I put him just over an arms length away and he walked to the edge! I was quite proud! We are still a while away from walking but he was excited!
We can't believe how fast time has gone. Carter will be 8 months on Friday..... OH MY! We are having so much fun being parents to Carter and all the joy that he brings us!

Afternoon at the park!

We finally went to the park! Carter LOVED the swings. The weather here has been beautiful. We only spent about 10 minutes on the swings because they were in the shade. We went to the grass next and he loved being able to explore and play with the grass and pine cones. To my surprise he didn't try to eat anything! We went with another mom and baby. It was fun watching them explore together!
We are off to explore more this weekend as the sun is still out!

"Look Mom, a dog!"

We sure have been busy! Gran and Grandpa came for a visit over the weekend! It was so great to see them. Carter loved walking around with Grandpa and having book time with Gran. We had some great weather while they were here and had a chance to get out in the sun!
I can't believe Carter is 7 months already! He is growing so fast. His teeth seem to be bugging him lately. He has been a cuddly baby lately.....I'll take it when I can get it! He is really liking baby time and seeing all his friends. We went to the pool last week and Carter loved it! He was more interested in swimming and splashing on his front. He also likes when we go to the part of the pool where he can touch the bottom and jump up and down in the water! We decided to get the finger paint out again and see if Carter liked it! He is quite the artist!
The sun is out again today so we are going to spend the afternoon outside with some friends!

Big day

Today was a big day for Carter. I posted a video of him practicing crawling earlier, but that wasn't the only thing he did today. We had a play date with Cassidy and Lucas this afternoon! Carter really likes Cassidy. She is 2 weeks younger and is adorable. They were poking at each other and Carter was talking to her. He had so much fun this afternoon he came home and had an hour and a half nap! Earlier this morning Carter was playing in bed with me and he found his empty bottle on the pillow....guess who can pick up his bottle and put it in his mouth?????
CARTER CAN!!! He won't hold it for too long but the skill is there!
Carter is also blowing bubble all the time! Don't get too close or you will get wet!
