Snowy snowy snowy

Well we got our second snowfall of the season today. We decided to get out in it right away before the rain came and took it all away again! Carter LOVED it! We tried to build a snowman....but Ewalk peed on it :) Carter was more interested in running and falling in the snow. After supper we decided to try and go sledding! Carter couldn't get enough of his sled. Jaice had bought it the last time it snowed but we never got to use it. We didn't get any pictures of Carter sledding as it was dark and raining by the time we got out. We got really wet and had to trick Carter to get back in the car. He would have stayed out all night if we would have let him! The faster Jaice went the more fun Carter had. Our little dare devil!
3 more sleeps until Gran, Grandpa, Uncle Cale, and Uncle Drew get here. We are very excited!! Carter is getting more interested in the presents under the tree. He likes to reorganized how I have put them under the tree.
We hope everyone is having a great holiday season so far! We will update after Christmas!

Santa Claus is coming to town

We made it downtown for the Santa parade on Sunday. It was much warmer during the day. In Jaice's words "Carter is a candy goldmine!!" We were are the very start of the parade so Carter did get a lot of candy. Jaice is enjoying most of it. Carter also got a Rudolph stuffy and he really likes it. We stopped in for another haircut before we went to see Santa. No more hair in his eyes! Carter was totally fine with Santa as long as he didn't have to sit on his lap. He would give him a high five but didn't want to sit. I went up with him and Carter sat on the arm of Santa's chair and then he was fine.
We also put the Christmas tree up on Sunday. Carter helped lots. All the ornaments that he put on are all in the same spot. He did a great job!
Enjoy the pictures

Trucks & Lights & Santa OH MY

Tonight they had a big kick off to the Christmas season. They had a big truck parade and Santa came. Turns out Carter isn't a big fan of honking trucks! He did like to walk around them and touch all their tires. We got him up on one and we was excited that he was finally allowed to play with the 'big trucks'. He also got to see Santa. He wasn't all that interested in him. I think it might be a mommy, daddy, and Carter Santa picture this year. There was also great live music going on. Carter was the hit of the show, dancing all over the place.
If you ask Carter what Santa says he will say 'ho ho ho'. We finally got a video of it. He has also been working really hard at all his animal sounds, so we go that on video as well!
There is another parade on Sunday, so we will have more pictures then!
Enjoy

Climbing

Carter has been climbing on things for a while now, but he has just recently figured out that he can move objects to get to the things he needs. We caught him on the stool trying to get to the door and the lights! I think we might have to put things up even higher! Carter has really been trying to talk more and more each day. He really likes to read his animal books so that he can say the animal sounds! He still loves anything with wheels. We are at the library every week looking for new books. We started our music class last week. It is alright. I am hoping it gets better. It is nice for Carter to get out and be with other children. After music we go to family gym. It is at the community centre and they open up the big gym and have mats and lots of different toys for the kids to play with. They have hockey sticks and nets set out and Carter likes to try and play with the 'big' kids. He picks up a stick and tries to hit the puck. We hope everyone had a great Halloween.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!!! We took Carter out trick or treating tonight and he had so much fun!! He was dressed as a dinosaur. He liked being able to go up to peoples doors and knock on them. He really liked when he was allowed to choose his own treat to put into his bucket. He would have stayed out all night if we let him. There is a storm coming in so it was getting really wet and windy. He held onto his bucket really well...even when it was full and dragging along the ground. It was neat to see him get really excited about it. His friend Cassidy came with us. She was a dog. I think they were the cutest babies out there.
We had lots of fun carving our pumpkins. We had a sports theme going on this year. We did the Calgary Flames, Vancouver Canucks, and Saskatchewan Roughriders! Carter enjoyed cleaning out the pumpkin and tried to eat many pumpkin seeds.

Pumpkin Patch

We finally made it out to the pumpkin patch today. It was so much fun. We stayed and played for 2 hours. Danielle and Darcy stopped by on their way home, what a great surprise. They joined us for a little bit and helped us capture some family photos. Carter enjoyed all the space to run and explore. They had chickens, roosters, a goose, goats, horses, and turkeys! Carter really enjoyed being able to chase the chickens all around. He kept pointing to the horse and making his horse sound! It was so cute. He wasn't a big fan of the goose. It was quite funny seeing him stare the goose down! Carter really liked being able to push the pumpkin wagon all by himself. We spent a lot of time digging in the dirt as well. The best part of playing outside is getting dirty!
We left with 2 pumpkins and big smiles. This will definitely be a yearly tradition for us!

Canadian Idol here we come!

Carter loves to sing. We finally got him to sing on video for us. We have been really busy lately. We had a great Thanksgiving dinner on Monday. We had friends and family over. Carter got to play with some friends and loved the turkey and pumpkin pie! We are off to the pumpkin patch this weekend if the weather is nice. We are excited to explore all the pumpkins and farm animals. Carter is going to love all the space to run. Carter is trying to say more words everyday. We will try and get a video of his animal noises. We have a little girl that is going to come to our house two days a week starting tomorrow. We are excited to have someone to play with (other than mommy) during the day.
We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!
